“Worked out of the box on a Raspberry Pi 3B, no issues, no special drivers or configuration (I was using Ubuntu Mate 16.04.02). The cord (versus similar ones that are a hard plastic dongle with no cord) makes it easier to deal with the closeness of the USB ports on the Pi, as you can get the larger adapter portion away from the body. Labels on the two ports are a bit hard to see in dim light but are color coded.”
“I recently purchased a gaming headset for my PS4, but the light feature was powered by USB, and had to use an adapter for mic&headphone, but the USB cord is to short to reach my console while headset was plugged into my controller. So I found this adapter so that I may use the light feature and my headset. I am very happy with this adapter, works great with PS4. Will definitely recommend this to other PS4 gamers!!”
“The standard sound card on my laptop produces a very flat sound. I used to have a Creative Soundblaster X-FI Go which was a little buggy and tricky to set up but when I got it to work right it made a big improvement in sound quality. Unfortunately I recently dropped the laptop on it and broke it. I wasn’t expecting much from the much cheaper STC but I am very pleasantly surprised. I waited 30 seconds for Windows to configure the driver and that was it. The STC worked great right from the start and it sounds equal to or better than the X-Fi Go. The flex-cord USB connection is also nicer to manage than the straight stick I broke. Sorry – I can’t really judge on high volume output. I listen to music in my office at work so I keep the volume pretty low. The STC produces a rich full sound at low volumes with my Logitech 2-1 speakers and subwoofer so it’s perfect for my needs. I am very pleased with this purchase.”
“Works great. Sound is crisp and clean. Been playing games like PUBG, Battlefront, Battlefield with an older headset/mic that uses 3.5mm audio jacks in the rear of the case which is a pain in the neck to connect/disconnect so using the front usb port is very convenient. This sounds just as good or perhaps better than the onboard audio processor.”
“This was a great and easy fix when the aux output died on both my computer case and my motherboard. My PC is about 6 years old but is still good enough to play new games at medium quality. I have filled my expansion slots with GPUs and a Firewire port for Protools. This little USB device was a moneysaver and is a great replacement for my cases dead aux ports. Saved me trouble and money and works excellently.”
