10. This isn't a bi-directional adapter. Can only convert signal from Type-C to HDMI/VGA/DVI/USB3.0 port.
11. Some USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 hosts only support 1 external display.

"Works Well to connect a late 2016 MacBook Pro 15" (the Stupid one with the touch-bar and the ridiculously big touch-pad) to an older HP LP2475w Monitor. This monitor, though not matching the ultra-res of the MacBook, is nevertheless an excellent monitor and pleasing to use for hours on end. The Monitor has almost every kind of input (HDMI, DCI, VGA, Display Port). However, the hostile Macbook simply thumbs its nose at you when you try to hook up, say the HDMI monitor input to Apples own ridiculous dongle HDMI adapter. The screen output is horrible...think fingernails on blackboard horrible, like some SVGA nightmare from the late 80's. Never fear..I'll just go direct, sans dongle...smugly, i bought a USB-C to HDMI cable thinking, 'surely, this must work'...nope! (I can hear the evil Macbook cackling), Next, I tried Display Port...denied again!, finally, defeated, in despair, i thought, 'surely, plain 'ol VGA can't be any better...can it?...yes!..VGA works. I blame this one on Apple. No other computer has ever not worked with this monitor".
"Got a laptop with several USB ports but only one that works? That's because your power supply is too small. And Laptop power supplies have to be small so I'm sure you have one. Then you buy one of those cheap bunch of wires or a box that supposedly turns 1 port into 4. And it works great on your Desktop that has a massive power supply. But it won't work on your laptop because USB ports supply power to whatever is plugging into them.This product is the answer. It has it's own power supply that prevents devices plugged into it from draining your laptop power supply. it has 4 ports. three in front and one on the side. Mine works great with all 4 ports full. It still won't speed up communications to the level of USB ports that are separate on the motherboard but at least you can plug stuff into it and it will work. Unfortunately it will not power anything that will run the US Economy efficiently. It will not power the brains of congressmen or senators even if you plug their heads in really tight so that they will stop screwing around with your healthcare until you are broke paying for it. But you should buy a bunch of these as barter material for when the economy collapses next month because the republicans and democrats cannot agree on the the shape to build the hand basket we will all go to hell in and also who will get the contract to build it. I feel that Amazon.com should run the government because voting has definitely failed us. Amazon can get me a package overnight. The Government can't do that. And sell a lot of stuff like the wonderful product above that solved a very big pain in buttocks problem for me". |
