"Good product Good quality. I am a retired EE and have repaired computers for 30 years. When you order this cable, get the shortest length that will work. The longer the cable, the more attenuation of the signal. Never use more than a 10' cable. This could make a difference on older monitors. First look at the shape of the male end and match the shape on the device. There is a flat blade that needs to match the connector. The connector ends have MANY pins, so they do need some pressure to get them into the connectors. Wiggle a little them to get them started, then get the two screws started, then wiggle and tighten the screws. If the monitor does not work, make sure the connector is fully seated at BOTH ends."

"I have a new CPU but an old monitor, but I didn't want to get rid of my old monitor, I wanted instead to have TWO monitors. My new monitor was equipped with both VGA and DVI-D ports, but my old monitor was only equipped with a VGA port. So I ordered this to save myself some time and $$$. "I bought this video cable to replace my Samsung monitor cable which required an adapter to use. I was using a DVI to VGA Cable Adapter, M/F (DVIVGAMF). It worked fine for a while, but then my monitor had started flickering badly and unstable. At first, I suspected the video card or the monitor, but found that the adapter was the culprit. The DVI to VGA conversion was causing an interrupt of the signal. This cable solved the problem completely. Tip: buy the shortest cable possible - less distance, better transmission of signal. Highly recommended."

"This is doing exactly as expected. At work, I found an HP LP3065 monitor that someone was going to trash/recycle. I I'm guessing that they could only get the display to run at 1280x800, HALF the native resolution of 2560x1600. Did some digging and found that the monitor requires a Dual-Link DVI-D cable and a display adapter capable of driving that resolution. I had the video card, and purchased this cable. WOW!

Yes, I get the eyes from people noticing my 30" monitor (as my 5th!) at my work desk. But hey, they were going to recycle it!

"Good, sturdy cable. Solid connectors. Screw pins lined up and worked properly. Cable "felt" heavier than I expected, which was a good thing. No issues thus far. Enabled me to hook up a second monitor to my Windows 10 computer. (I have one running on a VGA cable, the other running on this DVI cable.)"

"Seems like great bang for buck.
This is the only current style cable that'll support 144hz monitors. It doesn't transmit sound like HDMI so be aware of that. Also you may want to connect it while you have your display port or HDMI cable plugged in, and adjust the settings for the DVI-D cable. In my case, on a Asus gaming monitor and EVGA 1060 graphics I wasn't able to get a display until I changed the setting to be at 144hz, so I had to have both cables connected at once. After the setting change, everything worked great. Forza 7 played very smooth at 144hz."
