eSATAp to SATA 22Pin Hard Disk Adapter CableThis shielded eSATAp to SATA 22Pin Data Hard Disk Adapter Cable offers a high-quality 0.5m connection between a desktop or laptop computer and external SATA storage devices, allowing you to “externalize” the impressive capabilities offered by Serial ATA. This eSATAp (Power over eSATA) to SATA 22pin enables you to connect your HDD/SSD with SATA 22pin interface to a free Power Over eSATA (eSATAp) port. eSATAp (power over eSATA) is a high-speed connection for External storage devices. External storage devices include portable hard disks ( 2.5" SATA HDD), solid-state drives (SSD), and network-attached storage (NAS). eSATAp port can be found on notebook PCs and desktop machines.
Can connect your 2.5 or 3.5 SATA Hard Disk Drive ( HDD) externally to any free Power Over eSATA (eSATAp) port.
Does not require any additional power supply for a 2.5 or 3.5 HDD. Power Over eSATA port combines eSATA and USB and enables, with the help of the two gold contacts, a power supply of 12 V.
Can be connected to a 5 V eSATAp port, so that you will get only the required 5 V for running your 2.5 HDD. (Please make sure your power e-sata port supports 12V if you want to connect the 3.5" HDD directly)
