Customer Questions & Answers Question: Can this hub be used to connect a "USB 3 to HDMI adapter" to drive a secondary display? Answer: Hm. I don't see why not; as long as the USB 3.0 hub is connected to a USB 3.0* port on your PC/Mac, then you should still, theoretically, get the expected USB 3.0 speeds to run your HDMI adapter. Question: Does this work under 220V? Answer: The power cord is the US standard 110. I have never had any experience using adaptors to convert 110 to 220 so I don't know if that would be safe. On the bottom is a label that says the input is 5 volts. I think if it were me, I would message the seller. It is made in China. I am sorry that this probably isn't much help... Question: Which port do I connect to my laptop and what type of USB connector is that? Answer: The USB hub is connected to the computer through a USB cable. One end of the USB cable is USB B, and the other is USB A (3.0). Connect USB B to the USB hub and USB A (3.0) to the computer.

"The laptop I'm using this hub with only has two built-in USB ports which is not enough when participating in remote mentoring for a local FIRST Tech Challenge team. By adding this hub, my workflow was significantly improved as things like the external microphone and webcam can be plugged in permanently then enabled & disabled as necessary. The hub itself seems well-built. The metal case adds a little more weight than a plastic enclosure of the same type which (for me) is a good thing. The hub remains stable where others might get tipped on their side by the tension applied by the cables. The lights showing which ports are active are well placed and indicate active data thereby reducing the risk of accidentally unplugging an in-use device. Overall, I am quite happy with this hub and would consider buying others for use elsewhere. That said, it may not be the best choice if working in a location where power sockets are limited."
"Overall, this is a great powered USB hub and is exactly what I needed. I thought it would be bigger, but it's a pretty small design, which makes it even better. The build quality is amazing. It feels very sturdy when you touch it. I even accidentally dropped it when I first unboxed it, and it didn't get any dents or scratches. There are switches for each USB port, so you can decide which one is on or off. The light next to the hub is not only a light to tell you if the port is on or not, but it's also an activity light that tells you when the port is in use.
